| Summary, etc. | RésuméFaisant écho à nombre d’expositions – notamment « Identification d’une ville », au Pavillon de l’Arsenal – et de travaux récents, l’étude des mises en scène de l’architecture parisienne du milieu du xixe siècle à nos jours distingue trois grandes phases de l’haussmannisme à l’Art nouveau, puis en relation avec le « mouvement moderne » et enfin avec le post-modernisme. À travers ce parcours, il s’agit, dans une perspective historique, de présenter les rapports entre architecture et pouvoirs publics, la mise en valeur de certains décors de la capitale et les représentations associées aux architectes, à leurs constructions et à leur notoriété. Ainsi peuton esquisser, sous un angle particulier, une réflexion sur les signes de la contemporanéité urbaine et les discours qui s’y rapportent. |

| Summary, etc. | Echoing several exhibitions – notably « Identification of a town », at the Arsenal pavilion – and recent works, the study of the dramatisation of the Parisian architecture, from mid 19th century until today, distinguishes three stages from Haussmannism to Art Nouveau, then in relation to the « modern movement », and finally to post-modernism. The point of this itinerary, in a historical perspective, is to present the relationships between architecture and political authorities, the showing at its best certain settings of the capital and the representations associated with architects, with their buildings and with their fame. Thus we can outline, under a particular angle, a reflection on the signs of urban contemporaneousness and the discourses about it. |
