Summary, etc. | En 2013, la Loi pour la refondation de l’école de la République institutionnalisait le terme bienveillance. Cet article vient déplier quelques éléments d’analyse d’un entretien clinique à visée de recherche mené auprès d’une professeure des écoles novice. La consigne ouverte l’amenait à évoquer les résonances que le terme bienveillance rencontrait dans sa pratique de classe. L’insistance de l’étudiante sur sa volonté de conserver une « position neutre » inconditionnelle questionne l’interprétation singulière de la prescription et les compromis défensifs associés, notamment le clivage opéré dans le discours entre attitude bienveillante et revendication d’une neutralité excessive. |

Summary, etc. | In 2013, the School Refoundation Law of the Republic institutionalised the term benevolence. This article presents some elements of analysis of a clinical interview with a novice school teacher. The open-ended instructions led her to evoke the resonances that the term benevolence met in her classroom practice. The student’s insistence concerning maintaining an unconditional « neutral position » questions the singular interpretation of the requirement and the associated defensive compromises, particularly the cleavage in the discourse between a benevolent attitude and a claim of an excessive neutrality. |
