| Summary, etc. | RésuméDans le cadre du plan national d’éducation pour la santé (EPS) de 2001, la DRASS Nord/Pas-de-Calais s’est engagée dans une réflexion sur l’amélioration des pratiques en éducation pour la santé. Nous avons étudié les contenus des enseignements en éducation pour la santé dans les écoles paramédicales, sociales et à l’IUFM de la région. Nous les avons confrontés avec les textes réglementaires sur cet enseignement, ainsi qu’avec le rapport national de Mme Sandrin Berthon. Nous avons interrogé les formateurs de ces écoles sur leurs difficultés et leurs besoins. Nous exposons les difficultés de l’enseignement de cette thématique dans les écoles ainsi que l’hétérogénéité des modalités d’enseignement entre les écoles, pour un module qui est optionnel. Il n’existe pas de base d’enseignement commun en éducation pour la santé à ces formations. En particulier, la pratique de l’évaluation y est peu développée. Nous montrons la nécessité de développer une culture commune aux différents cadres des écoles si l’on veut que l’éducation pour la santé soit enseignée selon les méthodes préconisées par l’OMS et Mme Sandrin Berthon. |

| Summary, etc. | In the context of the National Health Education Plan launched in 2001, the Nord/Pas-de-Calais Region engaged itself in reflection and debate on how to improve health education practices. The teaching curricula of health education programmes from the regional paramedical, social and teacher training schools were studied. They were then compared with a set of official texts on the subject (including the national report by Sandrin Berthon) which provide regulations and guidance for this type of teacher training. Teachers and trainers from these institutions were interviewed and questioned about their difficulties and needs. Health education is an optional module in these schools, creating heterogeneity in teaching methods. A shared basis for core teaching materials on subjects in health education does not exist, and specifically, evaluation as a practice is under-developed. These difficulties are therefore exposed, and the article demonstrates the need to provide teachers with a common culture to be shared across these different frameworks and models if one aims to teach health education according to the methods advocated by WHO and Sandrin Berthon’s report. |
