| Summary, etc. | RésuméPartant du constat d’une augmentation de la fréquence de l’état d’incapacité de travail pour trouble psychique en Belgique, l’article aborde les caractéristiques médicales, psychologiques et démographiques d’un échantillon de 262 personnes se trouvant dans cette situation. La population à l’étude se signale par une fréquence élevée de troubles polymorphes associant syndromes anxio-dépressifs et somatisations. Dans la discussion, l’auteur interroge le caractère flou de ces troubles en regard des aspects sociodémographiques de l’échantillon et des concepts cliniques de macrosyndrome psychique et de démoralisation. |

| Summary, etc. | Based on the observation that an increasing number of people in Belgium are unable to work for reasons related to mental disorders, this article addresses medical, psychological and demographic characteristics of a sample of 262 persons who find themselves in this situation. This outpatient community is characterized by high prevalence of depression, anxiety and psychosomatic disorders of many forms. The article discusses and questions the polymorphism of these disorders with regard to socio-demographic characteristics of the sample population and clinical concepts of this macro psychic syndrome and demoralization. |
