520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |

Summary, etc. | From Listening to Phonograms to the History of their Listening. The Example of the Theater RecordBased on a decade of work in theatre studies, this article is dedicated to the use of sound documents through research. Following on from a first article which concluded that a specific protocol was needed for their audition, it shows, using the example of the theatre record, that to the temptation to listen to phonograms as mere traces of past events (here, of performances), a temptation favoured by certain disciplinary cultures, the attention paid on the one hand to their supports, and on the other hand to the history of the way they were listened to (or not) allows us to oppose another practice of history, rich in new questions. |
