Des musiques d’accompagnement dans le cinéma muet aux sons d’ambiance dans le spectacle vivant contemporain, en passant par l’introduction croissante de muzaks dans les espaces publics ou commerciaux, le développement de la « mood » puis de la « background music », semble toujours avoir pour but de focaliser l’attention de l’auditeur sur autre chose que ce fond sonore, tout en conditionnant sa perception, en agissant subrepticement sur l’humeur et les émotions. |
