520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | A casual account from a communication manager originated this paper. As described, the strategy of communication occurring in her company was constrained and timorous, and therefore raised the question of the decision processes toward communication topics.Through the interviews we led, we came to understand that the relationship with the general manager is crucial for communication managers as it usually compensates the lack of consistency of their professional identity. Nevertheless, although this volatile identity could first appear as a weakness within the workplace regulations, it can also be a significant resource to ease the tensions their job has to face. Presented in this article, the data analysis reveals how communication workers elaborate strategies in order to preserve the sense of purpose of what they do and how they do it. |
