| Summary, etc. | Introduction : L’essor des maladies chroniques a conduit à un renouvellement de l’offre de soins développant les dispositifs d’accompagnement comme l’éducation thérapeutique du patient (ETP). Par l’acquisition de compétences, le patient devient acteur dans la gestion de la maladie au quotidien. Cependant, la poursuite d’une activité professionnelle reste difficile pour ces patients. Comment alors les acteurs de l’ETP s’emparent de la question de la santé au travail dans les dispositifs éducatifs ? Méthodes : Cette étude descriptive explore les programmes d’ETP d’Île-de-France du point de vue de la composante santé travail pour deux pathologies : la lombalgie chronique et l’asthme de l’adulte. Les données ont été recueillies à partir du site de recensement CART’EP® et de la réalisation de 18 entretiens téléphoniques avec les coordonnateurs des programmes. Résultats : Les résultats, basés sur une analyse statistique et thématique de contenu, montrent que la santé au travail est abordée différemment en ce qui concerne les compétences, les contenus traités et les pratiques d’éducation thérapeutique en fonction des pathologies. Les programmes asthme mettent davantage l’accent sur la prise en charge de la crise, l’éviction des situations à risque et la connaissance des facteurs déclenchants professionnels. Les programmes lombalgie privilégient le maintien dans l’emploi comme objectif principal et insistent sur la mise en œuvre de conduites d’ajustement (diminution des peurs et croyances). Conclusion : La santé au travail reste peu développée dans les formats d’éducation thérapeutique. La collaboration des médecins du travail pourrait être sollicitée pour rendre les programmes plus opératoires dans ce domaine. |

| Summary, etc. | Occupational health and therapeutic patient education programmes for chronic low back pain and asthma Introduction: With the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, more health care services are offering support such as therapeutic patient education (TPE). By acquiring certain skills, the patient takes an active role in the day-to-day management of his/her disease. However, it may be difficult for these patients to continue working. So how do TPE providers handle occupational health issues in their education systems? Methods: This descriptive study examines the occupational health component of Ile-de-France TPE programmes for two conditions: chronic low back pain and adult asthma. Data were obtained from the CART’EP® website and via telephone interviews with eighteen TPE programme coordinators, conducted according to an interview guide Results: Analysis of the results, combining statistical and content analysis, shows that the approach to occupational health in terms of skills, content and TPE practices was different for these two conditions. Asthma TPE programmes tend to stress management of asthma attacks, avoidance of risky situations and knowledge of occupational trigger factors. Low back pain TPE programmes, on the other hand, prioritize continued employment as the main objective, and emphasize the use of adaptation behaviours (reducing fears and beliefs). Conclusion: As current educational formats largely neglect occupational health, occupational health physicians could possibly be enlisted to help make TPE programmes more effective in this domain. |
