| Summary, etc. | La Vallée de la Bruche (26 communes et 22 000 habitants) est un territoire rural de moyenne montagne situé en France, en Alsace. Ce territoire s’inscrit depuis plus de 40 ans dans une logique de coopération intercommunale et de développement local. La Communauté de communes mène une action reconnue de coordinateur des acteurs de la santé publique sur le territoire. L’ensemble de ces actions font l’objet d’un Contrat local de santé (CLS) signé par l’État, la Communauté de communes et différents partenaires dont les Caisses d’assurance maladie et les groupes gestionnaires d’établissement de santé locaux. La période contractuelle s’est achevée en 2015. Il s’agit ici d’une démarche intersectorielle, qui regroupe non seulement les professionnels de la santé (les spécialistes) mais aussi tous les partenaires (Elus, Éducation Nationale, Monde associatif et grand public). La santé n’est pas vue comme une fin en soi mais comme participant pleinement à une politique de développement local. |

| Summary, etc. | Contribution of the Bruche Valley district planning authorityThe Bruche Valley (composed of 26 municipalities and 22,000 inhabitants) is a medium-altitude, rural territory situated in Alsace, France. For more than 40 years, this territory has developed a intercommunal cooperation and local development approach. The district planning authority is a recognised coordinator of public health actions in the region. All of these actions are defined by a special contract called “Contrat local de santé” (CLS), signed by the State, the district planning authority and numerous collaborators including health care insurance funds and local health facility group managers. The contractual period came to an end in 2015. This cross-sectoral approach involves not only health professionals (specialists) but also all partners, such as councillors, Department for Education, voluntary and general public sectors. Health is not seen as an end per se but as fully participating in a local development policy. |
