| Summary, etc. | Le concept de capital, tel qu’il a été réélaboré par Pierre Bourdieu, connaît ces dernières décennies un grand succès qui va de pair avec l’invention de multiples variantes. S’il est incontestable que cela produit un mouvement général d’inflation lexicale et sémantique, ces nouvelles variantes ne doivent pas être rejetées a priori et méritent au contraire d’être discutées. Cet article constitue l’un des volets d’un travail inédit qui s’attache à l’ensemble des propositions intégrant plus ou moins explicitement l’espace géographique et plus largement la dimension spatiale du monde social. Il se focalise en particulier sur le cas des variantes qui soulignent d’une façon ou d’une autre l’échelle spatiale de production, d’usage et de reconnaissance des capitaux : du « capital d’autochtonie » au « capital international » ou « cosmopolite ». Elles ont en effet en commun de souligner la nécessaire contextualisation géographique de toute trajectoire et position sociales, de toute pratique inscrite dans des rapports sociaux, et de souligner que cette contextualisation se décline à plusieurs échelles possibles (du local à l’international). Il invite donc, en systématisant ces analyses, à expliciter et analyser la structuration scalaire des capitaux et des espaces sociaux. |

| Summary, etc. | The concept of capital, as reworked by Pierre Bourdieu, has enjoyed great success in recent decades, and this has been accompanied by the invention of many variants. If it is undeniable that this produces a general movement of lexical and semantic inflation, these new variants should not be rejected a priori and deserve to be discussed. This article is one of the components of a new work that focuses on all the proposals that seek to integrate geographical space and, more broadly, the spatial dimension of the social world. It focuses in particular on the case of variants that emphasize the spatial scale of production, use, and recognition of capital : From “capital of autochtony” to “international” or “cosmopolitan” capital. What they have in common is that they underline the necessary geographical contextualization of any social trajectory and position, of any practice inscribed in social relations, and that this contextualization is declined at several possible scales (from local to international). By systematizing these analyses, it invites us to clarify and analyze the scalar structuring of capital and social spaces. |
