520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | In a paper dated 1981, the French Hispanist Pierre Guenoun wrote that the entire framework of the “ Burlador” (“ The Trickster of Seville”) was contained in the first 84 verse of Tirso’s work. The present article will deal with the development, almost verse by verse, of the remarkable proposition, paying an extra attention to the vocabulary, where the most substantial terms of the play appear: deception, pretend, betray, joy, punish, perjuring, shake hands and honour. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
