| Summary, etc. | RésuméLes super-héros font partie de la culture populaire occidentale depuis plus de 70 ans. Ils sont nés aux États-Unis et ont été porteurs d’un idéal social et d’une vision particulière du monde. Mais au-delà de cette récupération politique, il semble qu’ils participent aujourd’hui de ce réenchantement du monde caractéristique de la postmodernité. Il s’agit ici d’étudier dans quelle mesure les comic books incarnent une mythologie contemporaine. Dans un premier temps, nous étudions la figure du super-héros. Puis, nous nous attardons sur la structure mythique des comics books. Enfin, il s’agit d’étudier plus spécifiquement la figure de la ville telle qu’elle est développée et utilisée. |

| Summary, etc. | Superheroes have been an integral part of pop culture in occident for more than 70 years. Ever since they were first created in the U.S.A., superheroes have brought a distinctive world vision as well as a new social ideal. Despite the political hijacking, it seems today that they are a matter for the re-enchantment of the world by which postmodernity is characterized. Our goal is to study in which way the comic books embody a certain contemporary mythology. Firstly we must consider the figure of the Super-Hero as it is. Secondly we’ll focus on the mythical structure of comics books and lastly we’ll pay specific attention to the figure of the city see how they are developed and how they are used. |
