Summary, etc. Désireuses de connaître leurs publics et d’évaluer la perception de leur offre, les institutions culturelles ont de plus en plus souvent recours à des sociologues et chercheurs, pour la mise en place d’enquêtes de publics et de satisfaction. Or, la collaboration de ces deux types d’interlocuteurs, responsables d’établissements culturels commanditaires et sociologues enquêteurs, n’est pas sans quelques difficultés ou périls. De nombreux malentendus, pièges et difficultés menacent la relation entre les deux et le bon déroulement de l’enquête. Cet article se propose, sur la base de nombreuses expériences de chercheur sous contrat ou convention, de rendre compte de ces multiples difficultés, de leurs causes comme des moyens de les éviter ou de les résoudre.

Misunderstanding, traps and difficulties in public inquiriesWilling to be familiar with its public and measure the perception of its offers, cultural institutions are relying increasingly on researchers and sociologists to conduct visitors’ consultations and satisfaction surveys. Therefore, the collaboration of these partners in dialogue, the sponsors i.e. : the authorized cultural institutional operators and the interviewers sociologists, raises several difficulties and risks. Many misunderstandings, traps and difficulties threaten the relation between the two and the proper conduct of survey. Based on numerous experiences of researchers submitted to a contract or an agreement, this article serves to report various difficulties, causes and available means to avoid or resolve them.

Summary, etc. Deseosas de conocer a su público y de evaluar la percepción de su oferta, las instituciones culturales recurren cada vez más a menudo a sociólogos e investigadores para la elaboración de encuestas públicas y de satisfacción. Ahora bien, la colaboración entre estos interlocutores, responsables de establecimientos culturales comanditarios y sociólogos encuestadores, no está libre de algunas dificultades o peligros. Numerosos malentendidos, trampas y dificultades amenazan la relación entre los dos y el buen desarrollo de la encuesta. Este artículo se propone, en base a numerosas experiencias de investigadores bajo contrato o convenio, dar cuenta de estas dificultades y de sus causas, así como de los medios para evitarlas o resolverlas.
