| Summary, etc. | RésuméLes données psychologiques éclairent le fonctionnement mental de l’individu et abordent la question des connaissances et de leur mobilisation en proposant un point de vue essentiellement individuel dans lequel le sociologue a du mal à trouver sa place. Le caractère sociologique du comportement intelligent tiendrait essentiellement à la dimension sociale de l’apprentissage des techniques ou connaissances qu’il met en jeu. Tout comportement humain serait évidemment social car son contexte est social. Mais cela ne veut pas dire que la cognition impliquée dans le comportement intelligent soit, elle, sociale. Elle n’est sociale que du point de vue de l’origine et des conditions d’acquisition du savoir dont dispose le sujet de ce comportement intelligent. Pourtant la capacité de penser ou d’acquérir des connaissances, d’agir est moins une capacité de former et de manipuler des représentations internes qu’une capacité à s’engager dans des pratiques sociales qui sont animées et articulées par des idées communes, des croyances légitimes et des systèmes conceptuels impersonnels. Plusieurs perspectives sociologiques s’orientent dans le sens de l’étude de la cognition et sont répercutées plus ou moins intensément dans les recherches en STAPS. Nous mettrons en évidence ces voies de recherche et les discuterons. |

| Summary, etc. | The psychology analyzes the mental functionning of the individual and approaches the question of the knowledge and their mobilization by proposing an individualistic point of view. The sociologist has difficult in finding his place. The sociological aspect of the intelligent behavior would like the social dimension of learning of techniques or the knowledge which it involves. Any human behavior would be social because its context is social... But it does not mean that the cognition involves in the intelligent behavior. It is social only from the point of view of the origin and the conditions of acquisition of the knowledge. Nevertheless the capacity to think or to acquire knowledge, to act, is less a capacity to form and to treat internal representations that a capacity to undertake in social practices which are stimulated and articulated by common ideas, justifiable faith as impersonal abstract systems. Several sociological perspectives turn to the study of the cognition and are more or less present in the researches in STAPS. We shall put in evidence these research ways and shall discuss them. |
