Summary, etc. | RésuméUne méthode prédictive : la synthèse optimale, basée sur un problème d’optimisation dynamique a été utilisée pour simuler la phase aérienne d’un salto-arrière. Les couples optimaux ont été comparés à ceux calculés par dynamique inverse. Le gymnaste a été modélisé par un système multi-corps à six degrés de liberté. Une technique paramétrique est employée pour résoudre le problème d’optimisation dynamique. Le critère de performance est basé sur l’intégrale des couples quadratiques ; il génère un mouvement dont la coordination est très proche du geste réel. Les couples optimaux révèlent un contrôle moteur des genoux à l’instant de décollage, inaccessible au moyen de la dynamique inverse à cause de la propagation des incertitudes dans les équations itératives de Newton-Euler. De plus, cette étude suggère que la minimisation des efforts articulaires serait le principal critère, spontanément optimisé par le gymnaste lors d’un salto-arrière. |

Summary, etc. | A predictive method: the optimal synthesis, based on an optimal dynamic problem, was solved for generating the aerial phase of a backward somersault. Optimal joint torques were compared with those resulting from inverse dynamics. A gymnast was modeled as a planar seven-segment multibody system with six internal degrees of freedom. The aerial motion was generated using a parametric optimization technique. The performance criterion minimized the time integral of quadratic joint torques. Optimal synthesis has produced a somersault closely mimicking the experimental one. Optimal joint torques revealed the motor control at the knee after takeoff unattainable by inverse dynamics analysis because of the measurement uncertainty propagation. Moreover, our study suggests that minimization of joint torques might be the primary control objective of a backward somersault. |
