Summary, etc. | Notre article décrit et analyse les activités éducatives d’un blogueur qui se consacre à la propagation de l’opéra classique. Cette analyse est une occasion de montrer les similitudes et les différences entre un blog et un forum de discussion, qui sont des applications Internet sociales très populaires. Ils servent de points de cristallisation pour des communautés virtuelles de nature différente. Le forum de discussion est une plate-forme pour la création d’une mini-communauté démocratique, rappelant la société civile, au sein de laquelle il est possible de cultiver les vertus civiques. Cependant, la communauté qui se forme autour du blog n’a plus un caractère démocratique, mais ressemble plus à un salon parisien de la fin du XVIIIe siècle, dominé par l’autorité d’un maître spirituel. L’article présente les résultats d’une mini-enquête à laquelle ont participé les visiteurs du blog. |

Summary, etc. | Our article describes and analyzes the educational activities of a blogger dedicated to spreading classical opera. This analysis is an opportunity to show the similarities and differences between a blog and a discussion forum—two very popular social internet applications. They serve as points of crystallization for different kinds of virtual communities. The discussion forum is a platform for the creation of a democratic minicommunity, recalling the civil society, within which it is possible to cultivate civic virtues. However, the community formed around the blog no longer has a democratic character, but rather resembles a late eighteenth-century Parisian salon, dominated by the authority of a certain spiritual leader. The article presents the results of a mini-survey in which visitors of the blog participated. |
