| Summary, etc. | En 1960, à 61 ans, Jorge Luis Borges publie l’un de ses chefs-d’œuvre : L’Auteur. Le livre représente un aboutissement au moment même où sa cécité était devenue définitive. Cet essai offre un triptyque : trois poèmes pris comme emblèmes des trois âges traditionnels de l’homme et il se centre sur les procédés littéraires et stylistiques de l’écrivain pour proposer la vision, selon Borges, de l’être humain dans son enfance, sa maturité et son déclin. |

| Summary, etc. | In 1960, at 61, Jorge Luis Borges published one of his mayor works: “ The Maker” (or “ Dreamtigers”). The book represents Borges’ outcome at a time when his blindness was definitive. This paper proposes a triptych: three poems as icons of man’s proverbial three ages. Philosophical and existential items are enlightened due to both literary quality and blindness. This paper focuses on the literary and stylistic procedures that characterize Borges, in order to propose a vision of childhood, maturity and decline in Borges’ perspective. |

El libro representa la plenitud del autor al mismo tiempo que su ceguera había avanzado definitivamente. Este ensayo propone un tríptico: tres poemas del libro considerados como emblemas de las tres edades proverbiales del hombre. Centra su atención en los recursos literarios y estilísticos típicos de Borges, para proponer una visión del ser humano en su infancia, madurez y declive, desde la perspectiva borgeana. |
