Les travaux scientifiques disponibles mettent en évidence qu’il est perçu favorablement et bien compris par les consommateurs. Sa construction garantit une bonne cohérence du système par rapport aux repères de consommations du Plan national nutrition santé. Le 5-C apparaît donc comme un moyen transparent d’aider les consommateurs à orienter leurs choix vers des produits de meilleure qualité nutritionnelle. |

| Summary, etc. | Reflections on the 5-C color nutritional information system The five color (5-C) nutritional information labelling system, designed to be displayed on the front of food packaging, is a useful tool for differentiating the nutritional quality of food sold in France. Scientific studies have shown it to be well received and understood by consumers. Its design ensures good compliance of the system to nutritional benchmarks set out by the Plan national nutrition santé [National Nutrition and Health Program]. The 5-C system thus appears to be a transparent way of helping consumers choose products of better nutritional quality. |
