| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | Design Fiction, as a discursive practice, pushes for speculative scenarios that can be envisaged as a means to stimulate debates about societal questions. Indeed, Design Fiction is able to foster a certain pluralism of visions that necessarily have to co-exist among a public policy-making process. Through ProtoPolicy, a design experiment, this article intends to demonstrate how design fictions might help public institutions and communities of interest to consider and then debate about the different implications of coming policies. With the stakes related to ageing in place as a starting point, ProtoPolicy sets two design fictions especially co-designed to reveal the issues of social isolation and solitude. By presenting these future scenarios to policymakers, civil servants and citizens, ProtoPolicy aims at triggering discussions and reactions that will help in further adjustment of the trajectories of public policies. |
