| Summary, etc. | La muerte de un burócrata de Tomás Gutiérrez Alea (1966) retrace de façon burlesque les démêlés d’un gentil garçon qui tente désespérément de récupérer le carnet de travail enterré avec son oncle. À partir de ce mince argument, Alea retrace les péripéties comico-burlesques d’un anti-héros dont les exploits s’achèvent par la folie, unique façon de réagir à la folie bureaucratique et à une idéologie incarnée par un héros charismatique. L’impossible enterrement de l’oncle renvoie à l’impossible symbolisation du meurtre du père parallèle au caractère bureaucratique et tyrannique du régime. La structure même du film est révélatrice des conflits inconscients qui y sont représentés avec la distanciation comique nécessaire pour rendre possible leur représentation. |

A psychoanalytical approach of La Muerte de un Burócrata by Tomas Gutiérrez Alea La muerte de un burócrata (1966), a comedy by Tomas Gutiérrez Alea, relates the burlesque attempts by a nice boy who desperately tries to get back the work book buried with his uncle. This slender plot allows Alea to narrate the comico-burlesque adventures of an anti-hero whose feats lead him into madness as the only way out in front of bureaucratic lunacy and an ideology embodied by a charismatic hero. The impossible burial of the uncle echoes the impossible symbolization of the murder of the father in parallel with a bureaucratic and tyrannical regime. The very structure of the film illustrates the unconscious conflicts it reveals through the comical distancing required to allow their representations. |
