| Summary, etc. | Cet article voudrait susciter une réflexion sur la « critique ordinaire » de la souffrance au travail. Il s’agira, à partir d’une observation de cinq ans au sein d’une association de prévention contre le suicide, et de l’étude de plusieurs centaines de conversations entre des « malheureux » et des bénévoles de cette association, de dégager les manières dont des « individus ordinaires » qualifient leur propre souffrance et considèrent leurs activités de travail comme une cause spécifique de leur précarité psychologique et sociale. |

| Summary, etc. | This article aims at initiating a reflection on the “ordinary criticism” of suffering in the workplace. Starting from a five-year observation within an association for the prevention of suicide and with the analysis of hundreds of conversations the “unfortunate” and the volunteers, we have tried to identify the various ways ordinary people tend to describe their own suffering and how they locate their psychological and social insecurity in their working conditions. |
