Summary, etc. | Depuis 2019, le projet The Moroccan Entrepreneurial University Initiative, mené pour développer l’employabilité des étudiants diplômés par l’acquisition de compétences professionnelles, réunit deux universités allemandes, deux universités marocaines, deux tunisiennes et l’Université de Haute-Alsace. Mais cette expérience fit constater que la seule maîtrise de l’anglais ne suffisait pas à permettre des échanges internationaux constructifs et efficaces ; un an après le début du projet, des incompréhensions et certaines tensions rendirent indispensable une formation à la compétence interculturelle pour permettre aux acteurs d’acquérir ces savoirs et savoir-être indispensables afin de poursuivre le projet. Cet article va dans un premier temps resituer les fondements théoriques de la compétence interculturelle, pour mieux permettre d’analyser les situations où elle a fait défaut. Il va ensuite présenter une analyse qu’il définit comme une étude de cas pour permettre d’ancrer certains effets d’une formation aux compétences interculturelles dans un contexte de coopération internationale. |

Summary, etc. | Since 2019, the Moroccan Entrepreneurial University Initiative project has been carried out to develop the employability of graduate students through the acquisition of professional skills. It brings together two German, two Moroccan, two Tunisian universities and the University of Haute-Alsace (France). This experiment made it clear that speaking English was not enough to allow constructive and effective international exchange. One year after the start of the project, misunderstandings and tensions made it necessary to organize training in intercultural competence in order to enable participants to acquire specific indispensable skills so as to carry on with the project. This article will initially recall the theoretical foundations of intercultural competence, in order to analyze the situations where it has been lacking. It will then present a case study in order to anchor some effects of intercultural skills training in a context of international cooperation. |
