| Summary, etc. | Des stages de sport pour chômeurs bénéficiaires de l’assistance sont financés par des conseils généraux. À partir d’une observation participante, l’article interroge la philosophie politique de cette convocation du sport dans le rapport d’assistance. Le sport y est conçu comme une activité contractuelle visant à activer la responsabilité des chômeurs. Des entretiens semi-directifs, analysés selon une méthode structurale, montrent que certains stagiaires redéfinissent de façon particulière l’adéquation entre les catégories du chômage et du sport. L’interaction entre les conceptions institutionnelles et indigènes du sport face au chômage est finalement analysée en termes foucaldiens de pouvoir et contrepouvoir. |

| Summary, etc. | How to be unemployed receiving benefit and sportive ? Sports, relief and work : categories in playSports training for unemployed receiving benefits are funded by General Councils. Based on the results of a participant observation, this article questions the political philosophy hidden in this use of sport in the assistance system. In this article, sport is considered a contractual activity aiming at an activation of the responsibility of the unemployed. Semi-structured interview, analyzed according to a structural method, show that certain trainees redefine in a particular way the adequacy between unemployment categories and sports. Finally, the interaction between institutional and native conceptions of sport facing unemployment is analyzed in the “foucaldian” terms of checks and balances. |
