| Summary, etc. | L’objectif de cette contribution est d’identifier et d’analyser les caractéristiques de la diversification de l’offre touristique, notamment par les sports de nature, dans une zone transfrontalière des Alpes de l’Ouest. Le processus de diversification s’inscrit dans un contexte d’adaptation, spécialement au changement climatique, et d’incertitude, en particulier par rapport aux modèles économiques actuels. Au travers d’exemples en France et en Suisse, nous réexaminerons les différents processus de diversification, diversification spécialisée notamment, ainsi que leurs forces et faiblesses. |

| Summary, etc. | The aim of this contribution is to identify and analyse the characteristics of tourism diversification, particularly in relation to outdoor adventure sports, in a cross-border region of the Western Alps. Diversification occurs within a context of adaptation, notably concerning climate change, and uncertainty, especially with respect to current economic models. Using examples in Switzerland and France, the article re-examines the different processes of diversification, in particular the notion of specialised diversification, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. |
