| Summary, etc. | À la fin des années 1970, le Comité pansoviétique de culture physique et de sport d’URSS ne visait que le « succès olympique ». Parallèlement, les clubs semi-officiels pour les amateurs de course à pied ou de ski apparaissent et organisent les premiers triathlons. Cet article a pour objectif, en s’appuyant sur des archives, des entretiens, des observations, d’étudier le développement du triathlon en URSS, puis dans la Fédération de Russie. Il met en évidence l’ambiguïté de son développement, entre compétitions apparemment ouvertes, développement d’une filière olympique en lien avec l’entrée du triathlon aux JO, puis embourgeoisement progressif et marchandisation. |

| Summary, etc. | At the end of the 1970s, the Pan-Soviet Committee of Physical Culture and Sport of the USSR aimed only at “Olympic success”. At the same time, semi-official clubs for running and skiing enthusiasts appeared and organized the first triathlons. This article aims to study the development of triathlon in the USSR, then in the Russian Federation, based on archives, interviews and observations. It highlights the ambiguity of its development, between apparently open competitions, the development of an Olympic branch in connection with the entry of triathlon in the Olympic Games, and its gradual gentrification and commodification. |
