| Summary, etc. | La gestion de la qualité mobilise tous les acteurs des établissements de santé à des degrés divers. Les cadres infirmiers sont des éléments clés pour la réalisation de ces programmes. A travers le discours des cadres, cet article explore les liens entre la gestion de la qualité et les soins infirmiers. Les entretiens menés montrent que la qualité est surinvestie par les cadres, ainsi elle va répondre aux problèmes de l’organisation du travail et permettre, secondairement, une reconnaissance professionnelle. L’analyse met en évidence que les valeurs de la qualité se superposent à celle d’une conception pragmatique des soins basée sur une vision disjonctive, linéaire et atemporelle. Par ailleurs, les soins infirmiers ne sont pas considérés comme une discipline, les soins de qualité ne sont pas définis. Les recommandations se concentrent sur le rôle du manager et en particulier sur la définition a priori des problèmes prioritaires des différents services. |

| Summary, etc. | Quality management involves everyone in the hospital to a different degree. The head-nurses are key elements for the realization of these programs. Throughout this discussion regarding management, this article explores the links between quality management and nursing. The interviews conducted show that management has over-invested in quality. Therefore it will respond to problems concerning work organization and will also allow a professional acknowledgement. The analysis confirms that the quality values come before that of a pragmatic conception of health care based on a disjunctive viewpoint, both linear and timeless. Furthermore, because nursing is not considered as a discipline, quality healthcare remains undefined. The recommendations focus on the manager’s role and particularity on the definition of the principal problems of different services. |
