| Summary, etc. | Les réformes du secteur hospitalier remettent en cause les principes mêmes du système de santé publique, donc l’objectif est l’amélioration du bien-être social. Deux logiques s’affrontent quant à l’établissement d’une santé équitable, l’une axée sur le maintien du principe de service public, et l’autre sur une allocation efficiente des ressources, notamment financières. Nous montrerons que le développement durable, appliqué au secteur hospitalier où l’éthique joue un rôle prépondérant, permet de réconcilier ces deux logiques. |

| Summary, etc. | Sustainable Development and Public Health : towards a new egalitarian-based health model ? The public health sector, which deals with improving the health on a population level, has encountered many changes lately. Consequently, two opposite views co-exist in providing health care based on fair principles. One is based on the concept of public services ; the other is based on economic rationality and efficiency. The article discusses to which extent sustainable development can bridge the gap and reconcile these two approaches. |

| Summary, etc. | Desarrollo duradero y salud publica hacia un nuevo modelo de salud igualitaria Las reformas del sector hospitalario ponen en tela de juicio los mismísimos principios del sistema de salud pública ; en consecuencia el objetivo es mejorar el bien estar social. Dos puntos de vista se afrentan en cuanto a la implantación de una salud igualitaria, la primera orientada hacia el mantenimiento del principio de salud pública y la segunda hacia una concesión de subsidios eficientes de recursos principalmente financieros. Demostraremos que el desarrollo duradero aplicado al sector hospitalario en el que la ética desempeña un papel esencial, permite conciliar estos dos puntos de vista. |
