| Summary, etc. | Ces dernières années avec le renforcement du discours entourant les risques biologiques de nature bioterroriste, le concept de biosécurité s’est construit graduellement. Une analyse dimensionnelle a permis de contextualiser ce concept. Au départ, la biosécurité était essentiellement un terme technique, touchant aux risques de contamination dans les laboratoires ou au niveau agroalimentaire, pour ensuite être utilisée dans le but de protéger la biodiversité face à la dispersion d’organismes génétiquement modifiés (OGM) dans l’environnement. À présent, il est de plus en plus employé pour désigner la prévention et le contrôle des infections même si son utilisation demeure marginale. Néanmoins, la biosécurité peut-être définie comme la sécurité du vivant et dès lors toucher aux dispositifs de sécurité participant au gouvernement des corps et au pouvoir sur la vie. Une approche plus critique incluant les dimensions sociale et politique sous un angle foucaldien est nécessaire pour élargir la portée du concept de biosécurité aux risques biologiques construits. |

| Summary, etc. | In recent years with the strengthening of the discourse surrounding the biological risk of bioterrorist nature, the concept of biosafety emerged gradually. A dimensional analysis was used to contextualize the concept. Initially, biosafety was essentially a technical term related to the risks of contamination in laboratories or food industry and then be used to protect biodiversity against the spread of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) into the environment. Now, it is increasingly used in reference to the prevention and infections control, even though its use remains marginal. However, biosecurity may be defined as the security of life and therefore affect the safety devices participating in the government of bodies and power over life. A more critical approach including social and political dimensions within a Foucauldian perspective is needed to expand the scope of the biosecurity concept up to biological hazards constructs. |
