| Summary, etc. | L’asymétrie de taille entre partenaires a des effets ambigus sur le choix des mécanismes de pilotage (Contrôle-Confiance) et partant, sur les issues des alliances stratégiques (Performance). L’objet de ce travail est de proposer un cadre intégrateur à travers cinq propositions de recherche afin de faire le lien entre le contrôle et la confiance d’une part, l’instabilité et la performance d’autre part, tout en soulignant le rôle modérateur de l’asymétrie de taille. Ainsi, deux résultats importants sont obtenus de notre discussion théorique : l’intégration de la performance comme variable dépendante d’une instabilité différenciée et dynamique ; et les effets positifs dominants des mécanismes informels de contrôle sur les issues des alliances stratégiques. Des recommandations méthodologiques ont été faites afin de tester le modèle proposé. |

Governance mechanisms effects on asymmetric strategic alliances performances Size asymmetry of between partners has ambiguous effects on the choice of governance mechanisms (Control-Trust), and on the outcomes of the strategic alliances (Performance). Our paper aims to propose an integrator framework through five research propositions making the link between the control and the trust on a one hand, the instability and the performance on the other hand, while underlining the moderating role of size asymmetry. Then, two important results are obtained from our theoretical discussion: the integration of performance as a dependent variable on a differentiated and dynamic instability, and the dominant positive effects of the informal mechanisms of control on the outcomes of the strategic alliances. Methodological recommendations have been made in order to test the proposed model. |

| Summary, etc. | La asimetría en el tamaño entre socios tiene efectos ambiguos sobre la elección de los mecanismos de dirección (Control-Confianza) y por consiguiente, sobre las salidas de las alianzas estratégicas (Resultado). El propósito de este trabajo es proponer un marco de integración a través de cinco propuestas de investigación para establecer la conexión entre el control y la confianza por una parte, la inestabilidad y el resultado por otra parte, destacando al mismo tiempo el papel moderador de la asimetría en el tamaño. De esta forma, se obtienen dos resultados importantes de nuestro debate teórico: la integración del resultado como variable dependiente de una inestabilidad diferenciada y dinámica; y los efectos positivos dominantes de los mecanismos informales de control sobre las salidas de las alianzas estratégicas. Recomendaciones metodológicas se hicieron para poner a prueba el modelo propuesto. |
