Summary, etc. Cet article s’attache à comprendre pourquoi les Business Schools françaises ont adopté ces dernières années des stratégies d’hyper croissance. Un cadre théorique reposant à la fois sur des analyses en termes de coûts et d’isomorphisme institutionnel et sur la dynamique des équipes dirigeantes, nous amène à un bilan nuancé de ces stratégies à dominante quantitative (plus de budget, de professeurs, de publications...). Nous montrons qu’un scepticisme doit être de mise lorsque ces opérations de croissance ne sont pas accompagnées d’une vision stratégique et d’une réflexion sur la compatibilité entre des cultures académiques différentes.

Summary, etc. Hold the top of the bill: mergers, new challenge for French Business Schools? This article investigates why the French Business Schools have in recent years adopted hyper growth strategies. The combined approaches of top management teams, transaction costs, and the analysis in terms of institutional isomorphism leads us to a nuanced assessment of these strategies predominantly quantitative (over budget, teachers, publications...). We show that skepticism should be appropriate when these growth operations are not accompanied by a strategic vision.

Summary, etc. Este artículo trata de entender por qué las Business Schools francesas han adoptado en los últimos años de las estrategias de híper. Un marco teórico basado en análisis tanto en términos de costes y de isomorfismo institucional y los equipos de administración dinámica, nos lleva a una evaluación equilibrada de estas estrategias dominantes cuantitativos (por encima del presupuesto, profesores, publicaciones...). Se demuestra que el escepticismo debe tener cuidado cuando estas operaciones de crecimiento no van acompañadas de una visión estratégica y una reflexión sobre la compatibilidad entre las diferentes culturas académicas.
