| Summary, etc. | Si l’opportunisme des partenaires dans les alliances a largement intéressé la littérature académique dédiée au management stratégique, peu de recherches ont étudié les différences entre l’opportunisme et la saisie d’opportunités. C’est dans cette perspective que notre recherche vise à appréhender l’opportunisme et la recherche d’opportunités au sein des alliances. Les résultats de l’analyse qualitative de trente-quatre entretiens semi-directifs réalisés auprès de managers et de directeurs des alliances mettent en évidence, d’une part, que l’opportunisme n’est négatif, au sens d’O.E. Williamson, que lorsque l’un des partenaires poursuit des objectifs cachés au détriment des intérêts de l’alliance, d’autre part, l’opportunisme peut aussi être positif quand il concerne la recherche d’opportunités qui ne nuit pas aux intérêts de l’alliance. |

| Summary, etc. | While the opportunism of partners in alliances has been of great interest in the academic literature dedicated to strategic management, little research has studied the differences between opportunism and the seizing of opportunities. It is from this perspective that our research aims to understand opportunism and the search for opportunities within alliances. The results of the qualitative analysis of thirty-four semi-structured interviews conducted with managers and directors of alliances show, on the one hand, that opportunism is only negative, in O.E. Williamson’s sense, when One of the partners pursues hidden objectives to the detriment of the interests of the alliance, on the other hand, opportunism can also be positive when it concerns the search for opportunities which do not harm the interests of the alliance. |

| Summary, etc. | Si el oportunismo de los socios en las alianzas ha sido ampliamente discutido en la literatura académica dedicada a la gestión estratégica, pocas investigaciones han estudiado las diferencias entre el oportunismo y el aprovechamiento de oportunidades. Es bajo este enfoque que nuestra investigación pretende entender el oportunismo y la búsqueda de oportunidades en las alianzas. Los resultados del análisis cualitativo de treinta y cuatro entrevistas semidirectivas realizadas a gerentes y directores de alianzas ponen de manifiesto, por un lado, que el oportunismo es negativo, en el sentido de O.E. Williamson, sólo cuando uno de los socios persigue objetivos ocultos en detrimento de los intereses de la alianza, pero, por otro lado, el oportunismo también puede ser positivo cuando se trata de la búsqueda de oportunidades que no perjudican los intereses de la alianza. |
