| Summary, etc. | Les sociabilités alimentaires du sujet âgé constituent aujourd’hui une préoccupation majeure pour les pouvoirs publics français, ainsi que pour une partie de la société civile. Principalement du fait d’acteurs associatifs, de nombreuses initiatives locales autour de l’alimentation ont en effet vu le jour au cours des quinze dernières années. Elles ont souvent en commun d’utiliser le potentiel de rapprochement et de plaisir offert par la commensalité et la préparation en commun du repas comme levier d’action pour « bien vieillir ». À partir d’entretiens semi-directifs, de la recension de la documentation ainsi que d’observations flottantes réalisées entre octobre 2015 et juin 2016 auprès d’acteurs de terrain, cet article propose d’analyser les enjeux perçus autour des sociabilités alimentaires du sujet âgé. L’analyse des discours permet de montrer une appropriation et un renforcement des messages officiels par de nombreux acteurs de terrain, qui contribuent ainsi à penser la vieillesse et le vieillissement uniquement en termes de manques et de risques, qu’ils soient psychologiques, sanitaires ou sociaux. |

| Summary, etc. | The diet of older people is today a major preoccupation for French public services, as well as for certain sectors of civic society. On account mainly of voluntary groups, many local initiatives have been developed over the past fifteen years. A common feature is the use of the potential for sociability and pleasure that are present in the preparation of meals and eating together to promote “healthy ageing”. Through the use of semi-directive interviews, documental research and participant observation, this article analyses the issues associated with the diet of older people. A discourse analysis reveals the adoption and reinforcement of official messages emanating from field workers, which in turn contribute to a representation of ageing and old age uniquely in terms of risk and deficits, whether psychological, sanitary, or social. |
