L’expérience patient, composante majeure de la qualité des soins, est riche et valorisable, d’autant plus quand elle est recueillie par des méthodes participatives telle qu’Amppati (Amélioration du parcours vécu par le patient et son entourage en immersion), issue du « shadowing ». Les retours qualitatifs permettent de mieux comprendre le vécu d’un parcours et de lui donner du sens. L’objectif ici était d’adapter cette méthode à un nouveau secteur, celui du handicap, et à un parcours particulier, la consultation de soins courants. Méthode. Les six étapes de la méthode ont été appliquées, avec un accompagnement méthodologique et pratique permettant la réalisation de suivis d’usagers par des suiveurs extérieurs aux professionnels de la consultation. Un suivi Amppati « à blanc », sans patient, a d’abord été réalisé pour s’assurer de la faisabilité de la méthode, et acculturer les suiveurs au parcours et aux profils des personnes porteuses de handicap. Résultats. Huit suivis ont été réalisés, répartis entre des consultations de bilan somatique et buccodentaire. Une dizaine d’actions d’amélioration ont été identifiées dans trois domaines : l’organisation, le matériel et l’information des patients. Conclusion. Ce contexte a confirmé l’intérêt d’Amppati pour impliquer les usagers dans l’amélioration de la qualité des soins en proposant des actions d’amélioration de leur parcours. Il sera cependant nécessaire de multiplier les expérimentations dans le secteur du handicap pour valider et étendre son adaptation. Cette méthode semble également opportune pour répondre à l’objectif d’évaluer l’efficacité d’une nouvelle prise en charge, en particulier avec un public dyscommunicant. |

| Summary, etc. | Context and objective. The patient experience, a major component of the quality of care, is rich and valuable, all the more so when it is collected by participative methods such as the “AmPPatI” method (Improvement of the pathway experienced by the patient and his or her surroundings in immersion), derived from “shadowing”. Qualitative feedback allows us to better understand and give meaning to the experience of a journey. The objective here was to adapt this method to a new sector - that of disability - and to a particular pathway, the routine care consultation. Method. The six steps of the method have been applied, with a methodological and practical support, allowing the realization of users’ follow-ups by followers outside the professionals of the consultation. A “blank” AmPPatI follow-up, without any patient, was also carried out to ensure method feasibility, and acculturate the followers to the course and to the profiles of the persons with disabilities. Results. Eight follow-ups were performed, divided into somatic and oral check-ups. About ten actions for improvement were identified, in three areas: organization, equipment and patient information. Conclusion. This context confirmed AmPPatI’s ability to involve users in improving the quality of care by proposing actions to improve their care. However, it will be necessary to multiply the experiments in the disability sector to validate and extend its adaptation. This method also seems appropriate to meet the objective of evaluating the effectiveness of a new form of care, in particular with a dyscommunicative public. |
