| Summary, etc. | Le paradigme du développement durable (DD) s’est imposé au niveau international ces dernières décennies : Convention-cadre des Nations unies sur les changements climatiques et les Conférences des parties, Groupe d’experts intergouvernemental sur l’évolution du climat, etc. Ainsi, les grands organismes statistiques onusiens et autres sont capables de diagnostiquer rapidement l’intensification des effets néfastes du changement climatique (CC) dans les trois dimensions du DD, économique, sociale et environnementale, à toutes les échelles sur la planète. Dans l’Union européenne, qui présente de grandes disparités en termes de trajectoires de développement, on peut s’interroger sur la capacité des pays à faire face à ces effets du CC et la prise en compte de l’enjeu de la durabilité dans ces trajectoires. Qu’en est-il de l’intégration des trois dimensions du DD dans les efforts pour atteindre les Objectifs du Développement Durable ? Est-ce qu’il persiste une différenciation Est-Ouest et au sein même de ces espaces ? Quels sont les facteurs qui influent sur cette différenciation : la spécificité régionale/territoriale, le niveau de développement ? En Europe de l’Est, face à la théorie de la convergence suite au transfert du modèle occidental de développement, n’assiste-t-on pas à l’émergence d’une voie alternative d’autonomisation ? | Summary, etc. | The paradigm of sustainable development (SD) has been asserted at the international level in recent decades: the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Conferences of the Parties, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and so on. Thus, the major UN and other statistical organizations are capable of quickly diagnosing the intensification of the harmful effects of climate change (CC) in the three dimensions of SD—economic, social, and environmental—at all scales on the planet. In the European Union, which presents great disparities in terms of development trajectories, one may raise questions about the capacity of countries to face these effects of CC and about the consideration of the issue of sustainability in these trajectories. What about the integration of the three dimensions of SD in efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals? Is there still an East–West differentiation even within these spaces? What factors influence this differentiation: regional/territorial specificity, level of development? In Eastern Europe, faced with the convergence theory following the adoption of the Western model of development, are we not witnessing the emergence of an alternative path of empowerment?
