| Summary, etc. | RésuméLa peau est l’objet d’une revendication esthétique, mais simultanément, à travers la prise d’importance des attaques au corps chez les jeunes générations, à travers notamment les scarifications, elle incarne le lieu sensible de l’identité contemporaine, elle en traduit l’ambivalence, la frontière ambiguë et difficile entre soi et l’autre qui implique une mobilisation et un souci sans repos. La peau est saturée d’inconscient et de culture, elle dévoile certes le psychisme du sujet, mais aussi la part qu’il prend à l’intérieur du lien social, l’histoire qui le baigne. |

| Summary, etc. | The skin, a site of aesthetic protest, simultaneously makes visible contemporary identity, expressing its ambivalence, i.e., the ambiguous, difficult boundary between self and other which entails endless mobilization and concern. This is seen in the importance the younger generation gives to attacks on the body, particularly by scarification. The skin is saturated with both the unconscious and the culture, revealing the subject’s own psyche as well as his/her place within the social bond and the history which envelops him/her. |
