Au plus strict, la fonction symbolique de la monnaie c’est de quantifier. Or la quantification est déjà épaisse de nombreux problèmes philosophiques. Alors, le propos tentera ici de montrer une problématisation foucaldienne de la fonction symbolique de la monnaie, en termes de pouvoir-savoir. Car la considération de la fonction symbolique de la monnaie ouvre, au niveau théorique, le problème de l’articulation de la valeur (intensive) à sa manifestation (extensive), et au niveau épistémologique, un problème d’objectivation de l’objectivation, un problème réflexif de valeur de vérité des jugements de valeurs (bulle spéculative). |

| Summary, etc. | Money symbolises value, the sovereign, or people – totality itself. But what is the role of this symbolization ? Strictly speaking, the symbolic function of money is to quantify. Therefore, using a Foucauldian approach to this problem, this paper tries to demonstrate the symbolic function of money, in terms of the power-knowledge relationship. Considering the symbolic function of money raises two kind of issues. First, at the theoretical level, the issue of matching its (intensive) value and its (extensive) manifestation. And at the epistemological level, every value theory faces not only the issue of the value of truth of its statements. But, according to the autoreferential paradox of the value of truth of value statements, the symbolic function of money also implies an objectivation of the objectivation issue.Codes JEL : B22, B40, E42, Z10. |
