| Summary, etc. | Il n’est pas facile d’être le père d’un très grand prématuré. « Comment aider la mère de mon bébé, comment trouver ma place dans cette unité de soins, que puis-je faire avec mon enfant, ai-je bien compris ce qui m’a été dit ? » Ces interrogations sont le témoin du cheminement complexe d’un père tout au long des parcours de soins de sa compagne et de son enfant. L’objectif est ici de rappeler l’importance de la cohérence et de la continuité des prises en charge anté- et postnatales. Il s’agit de ne pas nuire à la construction d’un socle émotionnel nécessaire à l’installation des liens entre parents et enfants, un espace où les attentes et rôles du père ont une spécificité particulière. |

| Summary, etc. | It is not easy being a father to an extremely premature baby. “How do I help the mother of my child, how do I fit in to this care unit, what can I do with my baby, have I correctly understood what I have been told?” These questions bear witness to the complex path that a father takes along the path of caring for his partner and child. The aim here is to issue a reminder of the importance of consistency and continuity between antenatal and postnatal care. There is nothing detrimental about building an emotional base required to cement the bonds between parents and children, a space where the expectations and the role of the father have a specific identity. |
