| Summary, etc. | Le monitorage en salle de naissance est en perpétuelle évolution technologique. L’évaluation clinique est mauvaise, quel que soit le domaine. Certaines techniques sont maintenant obligatoires, car appartenant aux recommandations internationales de prise en charge en salle de naissance : obtention de la fréquence cardiaque par scope, saturomètre et monitorage de la température par sonde thermique. La mesure du CO2 expiré est fortement recommandée. La mesure du volume courant et la NIRS semblent prometteuses, mais doivent être évaluées sur la faisabilité et leur intérêt éventuel. |

| Summary, etc. | Monitoring in the delivery room is always evolving as a technology progress. Though, the clinical evaluation remains poor for whatever skills are used. Based on international recommendations, some techniques are obligatory: assessment of heart rate by electrocardiography, pulse oximetry and temperature monitoring by thermal probe. End-tidal CO2 monitoring is recommended to ensure tracheal tube placement. Measurement of tidal volume and use of NIRS are promising but further investigations are required to prove their utility and feasibility. |
