| Summary, etc. | À partir de ce titre, Pierre Brunel a voulu montrer comment François Cheng dans ses Cinq méditations sur la Beauté a étendu à tous les humains la mission que Rilke a assignée au poète. En suivant l’ordre de ces cinq méditations, il rappelle le rapprochement entre la beauté de la Nature et la beauté de la femme, l’hésitation de Baudelaire entre fascination et doute qu’inspire cette apparente beauté, poussant le paradoxe de la beauté du bizarre jusqu’à une question au sujet de la beauté du laid et du démon, et à partir de là, il revient vers un nouveau rapprochement entre Rilke et Cheng sous le signe de l’Ouvert et de « cette chose magique qui est l’art » quand il promeut une telle ouverture. |

| Summary, etc. | Using this precept, Pierre Brunel wanted to show how François Cheng in his Five Meditations on Beauty extended to all humans the mission that Rilke assigned to the poet. Following the order of these five meditations, he reiterates the rapprochement between the beauty of Nature and the beauty of woman, Baudelaire ‘s hesitation between fascination and doubt inspired by this apparent beauty, pushes the paradox of beauty in the bizarre towards a question about the beauty of ugliness and of the devil, and then cornes back to a new rapprochement between Rilke and Cheng under the sign of the Open and “This magic thing that is art” when it promotes such openness. |
