| Summary, etc. | Entre le xve et le xvie siècle, on assiste à une prolifération du thème macabre dans les arts plastiques, ainsi que dans la littérature scénique et la chorégraphie. Nous proposons une analyse des exemples qui en sont apparus dans la culture catalane : d’un Triomphe de la mort qui a défilé à Barcelone pour l’entrée royale de Ferdinand Ier (1412), spectacle qui a été réutilisé en 1414 pour célébrer son couronnement à Saragosse, à la Representació de la Mort, texte dramatique majorquin du xvie siècle, et à la fresque monumentale du couvent franciscain de Morella avec une danse en cercle exécutée sur une musique dont le texte et la portée apparaissent au pied de l’image. Nous passons également en revue les formes de danse que la typologie macabre adopte dans les exemples catalans : une danse processionnelle en ligne qui, dans son évolution, se referme en cercle jusqu’à sa conclusion sous la forme d’une carole ; sans oublier les formes traditionnelles telles que les contrepas et la danse en croix de la procession de Verges. |

| Summary, etc. | The fifteenth and sixteenth centuries witnessed the spread of the macabre genre in the plastic arts, in scenic texts and in performances. In this article we propose an analysis of the examples that appeared in Catalan culture, from a Triomphe de la mort that paraded in Barcelona for the royal entry of Ferdinand I (1412), a spectacle used again in 1414 for his coronation in Zaragoza, to the Representació de la Mort, a Majorcan dramatic text from the sixteenth century, and to the monumental murals painted in the Franciscan convent of Morella showing the performance of a circular dance with text and music noted below. We also discuss the various forms the dances took in these Catalan examples: a processional in-line dance evolving to a closed circular one, thus becoming a carole; and traditional dances such as the contrapas and the cruciform processional dance performed at Verges. |
