| Summary, etc. | À travers la présentation de différentes initiatives culturelles lancées par des intellectuels et des artistes syriens, particulièrement à Beyrouth, Istanbul et Berlin, cette étude vise à montrer la diversité des figures de l’engagement dans les champs culturel et artistique. On verra que l’exil forcé par la répression politique et/ou l’état de guerre ont créé aussi de nouveaux réseaux dont certains ont réactivé d’anciennes solidarités avec des Syriens déjà installés dans les pays d’accueil. La révolution a suscité un nouveau désir de connaissance de la société syrienne, désir qui s’est confondu avec le souci de trouver des réponses aux questionnements soulevés par cette tragédie. La diversité des liens aux territoires de l’exil et à la Syrie ainsi que la variété des trajectoires des artistes et des intellectuels syriens suggèrent de repenser la notion de scène culturelle syrienne au prisme de ces circulations, souvent contraintes, qui reconfigurent les formes de l’engagement. |

| Summary, etc. | By looking at different cultural initiatives of Syrian intellectuals and artists, especially in Beirut, Istanbul and Berlin, this chapter aims to show the diversity of engaged figures in the cultural and artistic fields. The revolution triggered a new desire to analyse and understand Syrian society, while forced exile due to war and political repression led to the creation of new networks and the reactivation of older sinks. The diversity of connections to the territories of exile and to Syria as well as the variety of trajectories of Syrian artists and intellectuals suggest a rethinking of the notion of the Syrian cultural scene through the prism of these circulations, often forced, which reconfigure forms of engagement. This study also discusses artistic themes and modes of expression of some young Syrian artists as they reflect new relationships to political commitment and cultural creation. |
