| Summary, etc. | Dans le cadre du « système des charges » les habitants de nombreuses communauté indiennes du Mexique organisent des cérémonies de passation de pouvoir à l’occasion desquelles les bâtons de commandement sont transmis par les membres de l’équipe municipale sortante à leurs successeurs. En s’appuyant sur l’analyse des discours prononcés en cette occasion dans une municipalité de Mixe située dans l’État de Oaxaca, cet article cherche à comprendre comment la publicité de cet épisode de transmission contribue à la légitimation du pouvoir. De même, l’étude des prières adressées à des agents non-humains lors de cérémonies nocturnes durant lesquelles des volailles sont sacrifiées dans la mairie invite à se demander pourquoi l’exercice du pouvoir implique une certaine forme d’occultation. |

| Summary, etc. | In the framework of the « cargo system », many inhabitants of Mexican Amerindian communities organize ceremony during which the rulers transmit their staffs of power to their sucessors. Analyzing the discourses uttered during this event in a municipality of Mixe, in the State of Oaxaca, the aim of this pape is to better understand how the publicity of this performance participate to the legitimation of power. In the same way, the analysis of prayers to non human agents during nocturnal ceremonies when Mixe sacrify poultry in the town hall helps to explain why power activities need a form of concealment. |
