| Summary, etc. | The need to channel huge amounts of savings into meeting environmental, health, and social challenges, and ongoing regulatory changes, such as the CSRD, are challenges that make it imperative to rethink the way we invest, finance projects and innovations, and reorganize the financial world. Finance can make a lasting contribution to the common good only if we succeed in introducing ethics into both theory and practice. This article sets out to share some thoughts on the link between ethics and sustainable finance in general, by looking at sustainability from the angle of “conditions for the health of living beings in the broadest sense”, with the example of the relationship between the One Health approach and sustainable finance. This connection requires and calls for a truly active commitment on the part of the financial world. It represents a profound transformation in the way we think about financing and investment, and finance in general. To this end, ethics can truly become the cornerstone of sustainable finance, by being an integral part of all projects and investments. |

| Summary, etc. | Le besoin d’orienter des masses considérables d’épargne pour répondre aux enjeux environnementaux, sanitaires et sociaux, les évolutions réglementaires en cours comme la CSRD, sont des enjeux qui rendent impératif de repenser la manière d’investir, de financer les projets et les innovations, et de réorganiser le monde financier. La finance peut contribuer de façon durable au bien commun seulement si l’on réussit à introduire l’éthique dans la théorie et dans la pratique. Cet article s’attache à partager une réflexion sur l’articulation entre l’éthique et la finance durable en général en envisageant la durabilité sous l’angle « conditions pour la santé du vivant au sens large », avec l’exemple de la relation entre l’approche One Health et la finance durable. Cette relation nécessite et appelle à un véritable engagement actif de la part du monde financier. Elle représente une transformation profonde de la manière de concevoir le financement et l’investissement, et la finance en général. Pour cela, l’éthique peut vraiment devenir la pierre angulaire d’une finance durable en étant partie prenante de tous projets et investissements. |
