| Summary, etc. | Cet article se situe dans le champ du contrôle organisationnel. Partant de l’inscription ancienne de la dialectique liberté-contrôle dans les sciences sociales et de son investigation dans les organisations post-bureaucratiques, il s’intéresse aux formes de contrôle dans les entreprises qualifiées de libérées. Pour rendre compte de ce phénomène, il s’appuie sur l’étude de deux cas emblématiques : l’entreprise de services industriels, Chrono Flex, et le biscuitier Poult. L’article s’attache à repérer les formes de contrôle et, par l’analyse des situations observées, à identifier des arrangements entre formes de contrôle, ainsi que les rôles d’acteurs médiateurs, porteurs de ces arrangements. Les résultats montrent en particulier que le contrôle hiérarchique n’a pas été totalement supprimé, mais qu’il a plutôt été renouvelé en combinaison avec d’autres formes de contrôle déjà décrites par la littérature. |

| Summary, etc. | This article falls within the scope of organizational control. Building on the dialectic between freedom and control in social sciences and its study in post-bureaucratic organizations, this article focuses on different forms of control in liberated companies. To analyze this phenomenon, this research relies on two iconic cases : the industrial services company, Chrono Flex, an onsite hydraulic hose specialist, and the industrial bakery Poult. Our analysis leads to the observation that, in these two companies, multiple forms of control take place. The article pursues the identification of forms of control and, by analyzing the observed situations, the identification of arrangements between forms of control, as well as the roles of mediating actors carrying out these arrangements. In particular, the results show that hierarchical control has not been totally abolished, but rather renewed, in combination with other forms of control already described in the literature. |
