| Summary, etc. | L’île de La Réunion est un lieu propice pour étudier la transmission des valeurs de générations en générations au sein de cultures différentes. 114 personnes (catholiques ou hindoues), soit 38 triades unisexuées masculines ou féminines (adolescents, parents et grands-parents), ont renseigné le Questionnaire des Valeurs par Portraits de Schwartz (1992) portant sur dix valeurs fondamentales. Cette typologie constitue un système qui peut évoluer selon le temps et les groupes considérés. Il est relativement stable concernant le groupe de catholiques de l’échantillon étudié. Celui des hindous connaît une rupture : grands-parents et parents semblent préférer les valeurs collectives de continuité (tradition, conformité) tandis que les adolescents sont plus attirés par les valeurs individuelles d’ouverture au changement (hédonisme, autonomie). Une logique d’assimilation pourrait caractériser le système de valeurs des adolescents hindous, qui se rapproche de celui des catholiques, communauté la plus ancienne et nombreuse sur l’île. |

| Summary, etc. | The island of La Réunion is an ideal place to study the transmission of values through generations in different cultures. 114 people (Catholic or Hindu), 38 male or female unisexual triads (teenagers, parents and grandparents) have completed the Portrait Values Questionnaire by Schwartz (2006) on ten core values. This typology is a system that can evolve with historical context and the groups considered. The Catholic group has a relatively stable system, whereas the Hindu one is experiencing a break with tradition, grandparents and parents preferring collective values of continuity (tradition, conformity) and teens being attracted by values of individual openness to change (hedonism, autonomy). An assimilative logic may characterize the value system of Hindu teenagers, aligning with the value system of the Catholics, the oldest and the largest community on the island. |
