| Summary, etc. | Alors que le Paraguay a célébré en février 2019, le trentième anniversaire du coup d’État qui a mis fin à la dictature d’Alfredo Stroessner et inauguré un processus de transition démocratique, certes chaotique mais effectif, cet article entend centrer son analyse sur un acteur oublié du renouveau institutionnel et politique : le mouvement paysan. De fait, en dépit de son importance numérique et de sa grande capacité de mobilisation, l’empreinte politique du mouvement paysan dans un pays considéré comme l’un des plus inégalitaires au monde en matière de répartition foncière apparaît finalement réduite. Sur la base d’une lecture approfondie de la littérature académique sur le sujet, nous tâchons de comprendre les raisons qui expliquent l’impuissance de ce mouvement à peser sur l’agenda politique. |

| Summary, etc. | In February 2019, Paraguay celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of the coup that ended the Stroessner dictatorship and inaugurated a chaotic yet effective process of democratic transition. This article focuses on a forgotten actor of Paraguay’s institutional and political renewal: the peasant movement. In fact, in a country considered as one of the most unequal in the world in terms of land distribution, the political imprint of the peasant movement actually seems negligible, despite its numerical importance and its great mobilizing capacity. Based on a thorough reading of the academic literature on the subject, we try to understand the reasons behind the impotence of the peasant movement when it comes to influencing the political agenda. |

| Summary, etc. | Mientras que Paraguay celebró en Febrero de 2019 el treinta aniversario del golpe de Estado que puso fin a la dictadura de Alfredo Stroessner e inaugurado un proceso de transición democrática, caótico cierto pero efectivo, este artículo persigue centrar su análisis en un actor olvidado de la renovación institucional y política: el movimiento campesino. De hecho, a pesar de su importancia numérica y gran capacidad de movilización, la huella política de este movimiento campesino, en un país considerado como uno de los más desiguales del mundo en materia de repartición del acceso a la tierra, aparece, finalmente, reducida. Basándonos en una lectura exhaustiva de la literatura académica sobre la cuestión, intentamos comprender las razones que explican la impotencia de este movimiento para gozar de peso en la agenda política. |
