Il est une perspective sur son œuvre, qui aborde celle-ci par son objet, le darwinisme et la théorie de la biologie, et par son style propre, marqué par l’héritage de Georges Canguilhem et par son rapport ambivalent à l’« épistémologie historique ». Il tente aussi de donner une visibilité à des aspects moins connus de ses travaux, qui montrent que Jean Gayon n’était pas seulement historien et philosophe de la biologie. |
