| Summary, etc. | Articulée à la notion de représentation, la problématique du leurre traverse et travaille en profondeur l’histoire de l’art depuis l’Antiquité. Dans la seconde moitié du xxe siècle, une nouvelle génération d’artistes utilisant les nouvelles technologies et travaillant à partir des mécanismes du vivant renouvelle le questionnement en le déplaçant vers le sujet. Situés à la croisée de l’art et de la science, plusieurs artistes représentatifs du bio art tels que Eduardo Kac, Natalie Jeremijenko et Louis Bec prennent littéralement le parti du leurre en axant la plupart de leurs créations autour de cette notion. C’est dans une perspective de questionnement transversal que cet article se propose d’étudier, à partir d’un corpus d’oeuvres significatives du bio art, les enjeux et les implications épistémologiques et philosophiques de ce paradigme du leurre dans l’art contemporain. D’outil heuristique, celui-ci se fait instrument critique, élaboration plastique et prise de conscience réflexive. |

| Summary, etc. | The concept of representation and the notion of lure are intimately linked across the history of Art. Since the second half of the twentieth century, the work of a new generation of artists using living organisms and biotechnologies has renewed the inquiry. At the crossroads of art and science, several artists representative of bio-art, such as Eduardo Kac, Natalie Jeremijenko and Louis Bec, use the lure as a central concept of their creation. In a cross-questioning perspective, this article proposes to study issues and implications of this epistemological and philosophical lure paradigm in contemporary art on the basis of a corpus of significant works of bio-art. This article illuminates the notion of lure as a heuristic, critical and artistic tool. |
