| Summary, etc. | Dans la seconde moitié du xixe siècle, Buenos Aires connaît une expansion urbaine sans précédent corrélée à l’arrivée sur le sol argentin de nombreux immigrants. Dans l’Ouest de la ville, la territorialisation de la présence italienne est observable à l’échelle de la parcelle. À l’exploitation des anciens terrains agricoles comme gisements d’argile au service de la fabrication de briques, succèdent les opérations de lotissement dont les Italiens sont les acteurs, comme propriétaires et comme professionnels du bâtiment. Ces différentes formes de valorisation foncière reposent sur l’activation de chaînes migratoires et la formation de niches professionnelles. |

| Summary, etc. | In the second half of the 19th century, Buenos Aires experienced unprecedented urban expansion as a result of the arrival of many immigrants. In the west end of the city, the settling of Italian immigrants can be observed by looking at the ownership of plots of land. Former farmland was exploited for clay deposits to manufacture bricks, and then became the site of housing development projects, with Italians involved both as owners and as building workers. These different forms of land development were based on the activation of migratory chains and the creation of professional specialisations. |
