| Summary, etc. | Cet article concerne la pêche aux ature (ou chinchard en français), un poisson pélagique saisonnier très apprécié par les Polynésiens. Il décrit l’évolution de cette pêche depuis les années 1960 à nos jours dans la baie de Opunohu à Moorea. Les nouvelles normes environnementales, l’urbanisation croissante de Moorea, ont induits des changements dans les représentations, les discours et les pratiques des pêcheurs. La méthodologie conduite est fondée sur des entretiens non directifs et sur l’observation – participante entre janvier et juin 2015. L’analyse de ces recompositions induites porte sur la reformulation de la conscience environnementale des pêcheurs, les rapports conflictuels et la transformation du statut socio-économique de cette pêche. |

| Summary, etc. | This article deals with ature fishing (bigeye scad), a very popular seasonal pelagic species in French Polynesia. It describes the fishing evolution in Opunohu bay since the sixties. New environmental norms and urbanization process in Moorea Island brought changes in fishermen representations, speeches and practices. We used a method based on qualitative interviews and participant observations in 2015 between January and June. Analysis dedicated to that changes focused on new environmental awareness for fishermen, contentious relationships and modifications in the socioeconomic statute of bigeye scad fishing. |
